At Standard H2, we’re proud to present our revolutionary SULFUR MAGNET®, a multifunctional filter media that:

Our latest independent testing, featuring a collaboration with Nexceris, has delivered stunning results. In a controlled, high‑temperature (700 °C) solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) test, hydrogen of a very low grade with 10 ppm H₂S—after passing through the SULFUR MAGNET® produced 0.838 V surpassing the 0.836 V performance of ultra‑pure (Zero‑grade, 99.995%) hydrogen.
Notably, after 15 hours of continuous operation under 10 ppm H₂S conditions (fully scrubbed by SULFUR MAGNET®), degradation remained extremely low—about 44 mV per 1000 hours, nearly identical to the pure hydrogen baseline. When the filter was removed, unfiltered sulfur-containing hydrogen caused a rapid and dramatic performance decline—plummeting to around 0.748 V within three hours. These findings underscore the SULFUR MAGNET®’s transformative ability to protect fuel cell catalysts and extend system lifetimes.
Additional rigorous laboratory evaluations reinforce its unmatched purity standards. In NOₓ removal trials using the FINAL FILTER® packed with SULFUR MAGNET®, a feed of 2000 ppm NOx in nitrogen was reduced to below detectable limits (~0.2 ppb)—achieving >99.9999999% (9N) purity, even with a 30 ml/min flow rate. Meanwhile, sulfur removal testing showed exposure to 1.902 ppm H₂S in nitrogen yielded undetectable sulfur, reaching >99.99999998% (9N8) purity, well beyond international standards (ISO 14687’s 4 ppb limit).
